*Meet Sami Haiman-Marrero
Samí Haiman-Marrero is the President/CEO of Urbander, a Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) solution-based agency that specializes in creating and implementing groundbreaking business development and integrated marketing strategies anchored by Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). She is one of the nation’s leading business development and marketing experts today specializing in the U.S. Hispanic market and D&I. Haiman-Marrero started her career in New York City as Publishing Advertising Executive for the Spanish language editions of Glamour, Vogue, Teen, and People magazines. She holds a Masters in Communications from the University of Puerto Rico, and has been interviewed by international, national and regional media such as The Wall Street Journal, El Nuevo Día (Puerto Rico), Huffington Post, MSNBC, Florida Trend magazine, NBCnews.com, and Canada’s CBC News, regarding the Latino experience in the U.S. Named one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in Central Florida in 2016 by VISION Magazine, Samí has served on several prestigious boards such as Visit Orlando, United Arts, and was the President of the Hispanic American Professional and Business Women’s Association (2015 – 2017). She has also been asked to serve on the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund’s TAC committee (Orlando chapter), as a member of the University of Central Florida’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) Community Engagement Council, and as a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando’s Supplier Diversity Council.
